Child sexual abuse is preventable — but prevention requires more than policies on paper. It requires a cultural shift. This training gives youth‑serving organizations practical, actionable strategies to strengthen protective practices, reduce risk, and create environments where abuse is far less likely to occur.

This training is intended for anyone who works with young people of any age—including schools, coaches, camp and summer programs, after school and recreation programs, and child-focused social service organizations.
Maximum 2 representatives from the same organization can register for this session.
$150 per person. This training will cap at 30 participants in order to offer engaging, topic specific expertise and time dedicated to this topic for participants.

Practices to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse: A Shift in Organizational Culture
Child sexual abuse is preventable — but prevention requires more than policies on paper. It requires a cultural shift. This training gives youth‑serving organizations practical, actionable strategies to strengthen protective practices, reduce risk, and create environments where abuse is far less likely to occur.
Intended audience/learner: youth-serving organizations with direct-care staff in varying roles
Core learning objectives:
Identify strategies to empower adults on how to prevent child sexual abuse (role model healthy relationship skills, interrupt concerning behaviors, understand community organization expectations)
Evaluate resources and messages of effective violence prevention for youth
Analyze practices and policy that create safe and healthy spaces between adults and youth
These trainings are tailored to address relevant concerns, realistic scenarios, and meet the culture of each organization
