Child Abuse Clinical Coordinator, Full time 40 hours per week, M-F

JOB SUMMARY: The Child Abuse Clinical Coordinator-Culturally Responsive (CACC-CR) – non licensed, provide key services in guiding the patient through the continuum of care from our Latinx community.  Key services include (but are not limited to) brief psychosocial assessment, crisis management, planning and coordination of services, implementation, transition planning, and post-discharge follow-up. CACC-CR demonstrates critical thinking to assess and meet the needs of patients and their families/caregivers by providing care coordination throughout the care continuum using a culturally responsive lens.

 English and Spanish fluency are essential functions for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field required.

  • Master’s Degree in Social Services related field preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of applicable clinical experience or equivalent education and experience in child maltreatment.

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience working with the Latinx community, as demonstrated by knowledge of traditions, values, and customs of the community and lived or professional experience working directly with individuals who identify as Latinx.        

Skills: 

  • Excellent organization, oral and written communication skills for effective remote interaction with patients, patient's families, physicians and staff and community agencies.

  • English and Spanish fluency are essential functions for this position.

  • Knowledge of discharge/transition planning. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the range of evaluations and treatments needed by children alleged to have been abused.

  • Knowledge of community resources related to children/families, mandatory child abuse reporting laws, and experience with crisis triage.

  • Engage in culturally competent practice using demonstrated knowledge of the traditions, values, and customs of the Latinx community.
