$5 million gift launches expansion of services

CARES Northwest recently received a transformational gift of $5 million from an anonymous donor to expand medical assessments and evaluations, trauma-focused therapy, prevention programs and establish a pediatric child abuse fellowship program over the next four years. This gift – the largest donation to any child abuse program in Oregon – will give CARES Northwest the necessary resources to help hundreds more children, reduce wait times for services and strengthen prevention efforts. On behalf of CARES Northwest, we thank this generous donor for investing in the lives of our most vulnerable. Read more here.

Our mission is to stop child abuse and neglect. Not slow it down or reduce it. But, to end it!

Gifts of all sizes are needed and appreciated. With generous support from the community, CARES Northwest is able to provide medically-based child abuse interventions to every child who needs one. Your gifts support medical assessment and evaluations, trauma-focused therapy and prevention programs.

We encourage you to consider a gift in honor of a care provider (physician, nurse or team). Called “Care Champions,” the person honored will receive special recognition among their peers.

There is a need for significant gifts to grow our critical services. We would like to talk with you about an impactful gift that could be made over time.

Donors may consider gifts of cash, as well as appreciated securities, beneficiary designation of retirement funds, charitable gift annuities, etc. Pledges may be made over a period of years and can be designated to donors’ areas of interest.
