A weather-appropriate pair of shoes, a teddy bear you can call your own and a warm blanket may seem mundane, but to a child who has suffered physical or sexual abuse or neglect, they can mean the world and a glimpse at a brighter (and safer) tomorrow. Here are the types of donated items CARES Northwest needs on a daily basis:

Toiletries:Travel Size: Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotions, Soaps and Deodorant, Combs, Brushes, Chapstick, Toothpaste & Toothbrushes, Hair Clips or Hair Bands, Washcloths
New Clothing for Children of all Sizes: Sweatpants or leggings in children and adult sizes. Women's Size 6, 7 & 8 underwear
Gift Cards: For local stores, to buy prescriptions, food, clothing and toiletries.
Quilts, Blankets, and Stuffed Animals: Quilts are also known as "comforters," and one thing all the children seen at CARES Northwest need is comfort. We try to provide a new quilt or blanket or stuffed animal for every child seen at CARES Northwest.
